in the press
"I am living proof students can
offset the rising cost of education by taking advantage of
professional development opportunities on campus. By balancing
their academic efforts with challenging and enjoyable
extra-curricular activities, students can maximize the value of
their degree and hit the ground running when they enter the
professional marketplace."

"Graduates
today have seen the changes in the economy and understand that
the nature of employment has changed," says Eric Glanville…
a speaker at one of this year’s Grad Year Workshops."
The
Torch, University of Victoria
"One
of Simon Fraser University's busiest student volunteers is
graduating this week. Eric Glanville, who has earned an honors
BA in psychology, has spent the past six years doing more than
his share to make life a little easier for students at SFU."

"Eric's
commitment and passion for working with youth led him to the
Tong Louie Family YMCA a year and a half ago. He liked the YMCA’s
values of strong kids, families, and communities, and first
began volunteering at teen nights. He has now become
co-facilitator for the youth leadership development program,
which aims to build leadership skills in high school students.
Glanville works to create a safe environment where teenagers can
share their struggles and victories without the fear of being
judged. The program involves team-building activities and
discussion groups exploring important issues facing youth today."
